Hi all , hope this is the correct newsgroup to post this question , if not
please feel free to correct me and send me to the right one. Thanks In
Advance.
Getting ready to network two home computers using network cards. Have all
the hardware and have done it before. My question is this. I have Comcast as
my ISP, as I have up to several available email address after i connect the
two can the client computer be configured to receive and send email on her
computer using one of my Comcast email addresses.I know we can share files
and such between the two computers, but never thought about whether she
could receive email on her machine, or would it just be downloaded to the
host computer? What I am trying to accomplish is that she have privacy to
her own email and that it gets downloaded to her machine only and not to
mine. I guess it all has to do? with configuring her machine with her own IP
address which I am a little confused on. A friend of mine says it can be
done but might be illegal for I need to tell Comcast that I am networked and
they might raise my monthly service charge, I am willing to incur the
additional charge, but if many or doing it, is it really illegal and am I
breaking any kind of law by <thief of services>?
Respectfully
