networking two computers

Hello to all... can anyone help me in networking two computers together? One is Windows XP and the other is Windows 98. I need to share the files with each other. I have a parallel cable connected between both. Please email me if you can help!

First-don't ever use your real Email address. Second-I only send
answers by Email for a 20.00 deposit. :-(
 
Parallel cables won't work for this, the best thing to do is buy a couple of network cards (Netgear) or some other either hard wired or wireless. They usually have instructions with them, there are step by step help files in the XP help that has step by step directions.

Best with two network cards and using standard network protocols.
