Networking problems, sharing files over the network.

I'm trying to network two computers together at home. My laptop is
running XP Home and my desktop is running XP Pro.

The local area network seems to be working fine. Printing works both
ways with no problem.

I'm having trouble with file sharing. I turned on sharing on the XP
Home, and I can access all the files I've set to be shared from the
desktop over the network with no problem.

However, when I go the other way -- that is, when I try to access the
XP pro computer from the laptop -- I am denied access. There seems to
be a lot more settings to play with in the Pro version, and not as
simple as in Home, where it was just a push of a button. I have file
sharing on a couple directories turned on allowing access to
"everyone" and it still says I don't have permission to access to
files.

I'm wondering first if anyone has any ideas?

Thanks,
james
