Networking Problem

I added a new XP pro machine to a workgroup.I can see all computers on the network and access them from the new XP computer. When I try to access the XP machine from the other computers I am asked for a password. I am not sure which paswword. It doesn't ask for a user name. It says resource \\computer name\IPC$. What am I missing?
