About a month ago I upgraded my motherboard, videoboard, and RAM. I repaired
Windows rather than doing a clean install. I've since got almost everything
working well on the machine except I'm not seeing my workgroup. I can't see
the printers that are connected to another machine on the workgroup and I
also can't connect to my Xbox360 for steaming media. I can however get on
the internet with it...I am right now actually. So how do I get this
computer to see my workgroup like the rest of my computers can?

Look at logs from "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server", and
"net config workstation", from the problem computer and two others, so we can
diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):

Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
My email is AT DOT
actual address pchuck mvps org.

Ok so I tried that link and the things you recommended on there and nothing
happened when I typed it into the command prompt on any of them it just
brought up another line... I tried the browstat and used the instructions on
placing the file in a utility folder on C but when I used the command prompt
to run it all I got was not recognized as an internal or external command.
I'm not an expert or anything even close so maybe I screwed up somewhere but
I don't think I did...

Chuck,

Yep, I downloaded it and followed the instructions on putting it on C: in a
utility folder. Nothing happens when I try to run it with the prompt
though...

Thanks for the replies!
