Networking problem.

Running Vista on Computer1 and Vista64 on Computer2. On both
computers the Networking screen shows Computer1 and Computer2. When
you click on either folder it shows the files on that computer. But when
I click on a specific file to look at on the remote computer a box
pops up saying connecting to Computer(x) then line one is User name
and line two is Password. So if I am on Computer1 and connecting to
Computer2, if I type Computer1 nothing happens. I do not have a pass-
word setup. Is that the problem?
And if that is the problem how do I setup passwords for both computers.
 
You should not use blank password. To change it please follow these steps:

1.. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Change a password.

2.. Type your old password, type your new password, type your new password again to confirm it, and then press ENTER.


Vista: should not use blank ...Vista: should not use blank password for sharing ... I chaged usernames to co-incide on the 2 systems and used the same password on both. ...

O.K. so I setup a password for each computer. Now I need to known
what to put on line 1 and line 2 of the box which pops up saying it is
connecting to Computer1. I am in Computer2 so do I type in Computer1 for
User or Computer2? Thank you.
 
You should give computer1 username and password if you are in the cmputer2. If you don't want to type these information, it is better to create same username in both computers. This search result may help,
