Vista was installed clean after fdisking drives.
All surf the net OK, But are unable to browse ether of the vista system from
vista and XP but can browse the XP system from both the vista systems also
the vista system will not browse each other.
All computer show up in the network window.
Both Vista systems have the exact same setting. When I go try to browse one
of the vista systems from a vista system I get this error: Error Code

release.

hoss

i have a laptop running xp and a desktop running vista.
i just want to connect them via an ethernet cable. a simple
wired home network, and its taking up all my time.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/community/wcn_simple_config.asx

in this video, vista has the option to configure a wired network.
that option is not available in my rc1 5600. maybe i have to disable
wireless or something?

you can see it at the 20 sec. mark of the video... the last option to 'set
up a network' is just not there! i don't even know how to google
a problem like this.
