I have a wireless home network consisting of 2 win98 pc's and one win xp

pc. They all successfully connect to the internet through a Voyager
wireless modem. From the win xp pc I can ping both of the other pc's
but can't ping the XP pc from either of the other two pc's. I have
tried pinging the XP pc from itself and can't.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Is the firewall enabled on the XP system? If so, you will need to manually
open the ports necessary for file sharing. If you have the system on a
router with its own firewall, the XP firewall may not be necessary. See this

Thanks for this Rick but I'm afraid the firewall was already turned off.

Thanks once again Rick. If I can't fix it using the excellent info on the site
you pointed me at I might as well give up computers and take up train spotting.

Without people like you, we dimwits would be lost.

Cheers
