I have set up a network among three (3) computers (all on XP) through a
Belkin 54g - Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router, which incorporates NAT/Spi
firewall and DHCP. Two Computers (Primary and Secondary) access the Router
via wire and wireless, respectively. The third Computer (Tertiary) accesses
the Router via wire. The Router is connected to a Cable Modem.
All Computers can effectively access the Internet.
The Primary Computer can see the Secondary Computer on the network and can
access designated shared files and drives on the Secondary Computer. Until
earlier today, the Primary Computer could also see the Tertiary (wired)
Computer, but that is no longer the case.
The Secondary and Tertiary Computers, however, have been unable to see the
Primary Computer and cannot access files and drives on the Primary Computer.
Also, the Secondary and Tertiary Computers cannot access the Printer that is
connected through the Primary Computer.
I have reviewed several times the network settings on all computers and have
re-run the networking wizard several times, as well. There are no apparent
clichés, such as work group and computer name incompatibility. I have also
ensured that 'Internet Connection Firewall' is not enabled on any of the
computers.
Any suggestions as to how I can get the three computers to 'talk' to
one-and-other?? Thanks
