I'm having the same problem, although my machine was a
fresh install of Win2000 Pro. I have a D-Link cable
modem, Linksys router, and am running the same apps as you
are, Norton AntiVirus, ZoneAlarm, Outlook Express.

I hope we can get some help on this because I feel like we
are not the only ones suffering from this problem.

If I open either IE (v6 SP1)or Netscape (7.1)the webpage
will never appear. The progress bar barely crawls across
the bottom of the page until I finally shut the browser
down.

If I try to connect to a network drive, the response is
painfully slow. The files on the drive will finally
appear after several minutes of wait time.

If I try to download e-mail, the connection ultimately
times out.

Any suggestions?

Which errormessages do the troubled clients get? Does an ipconfig/all show
that everything is pointing to your server-IP?
Got WINS installed on the server? How many nics in the server and how are
they setup?

David -

I'm glad you were able to resolve your problem with that
workaround. However, I don't have an entry
for "TCP1323Opts" in that section of the registry. Does
anyone else have any ideas? For what it's worth, I had
the same problems when I tried upgrading to SP3 from SP2
several months ago. I had to reinstall Win2k Pro from CD
to get back up and running.

Thanks!
Brian
