Can anybody tell me how to do this if at all it is
possible...
I have networked 3 computers in my house using Lan this
all works well enough, the problem is i wish to add
computers outside of the lan network to it directly
through the internet? I have looked at the VPN
connections and come to the stubbling block of finding my
IP address for the computers outside of the network to
gain access to.
Can anybody tell me how i could link computers from
outside the LAN structure to it?

I think you have two choices:
1. get a static (public) IP address on your router (if
you have one) or one of the pc's (if it allows routing)
and use this to get a vpn endpoint.
2. use one of the various dynamic dns providers - they
will provide an ever changing ip address, but it will be
associated with a "static" name.

Try www.dyndns.org or www.no-ip.com, or do a search on
google for "dynamic dns" to find other companies that
offer this service.

Note that either the computer or the router must be
capable of supporting a vpn, as it will need to store
either a password or pre-shared key for authentication
