Steve

I need help. I have two computers and they're connected
thought my DSL/Cable Router. I am the computer wis in my
family. My computer is WinXP Pro, the other computer is
WinXP Home. I would like to be able to access ALL files
and install/uninstall programs on the second machine
through my computer. The problem is I don't know how to
do that. Can someone help me out by telling me how I can
accomplish this? Thanks. Please email me the response.
Thank you.

I have the same problem. The wizards say to go to the
computer you want to get files from, go to My Computer, C
drive - and right click on it. You'll see sharing and
security - and follow the instructions from there.

It is supposed to share - but I have other problems, so
maybe you'll have better luck

Yeah, I go through the sharing and security tab. I share
the hard drive on the other machine. However, it doesn't
allow me FULL & COMPLETE access to all the files and
progs. I am sure it has something to do with user
rights, etc. Especially since when I click on a folder
it says I don't have rights to access this folder. I am
not sure how to go about fixing this situation. I hoping
someone can help me.

I'm sorry, but It isn't possible to install/uninstall programs on a
different computer.

Windows XP Home Edition doesn't allow sharing the Documents and
Settings, Program Files, or Windows folders. I don't know why
Microsoft designed it that way.
