Networking Issue for small business

I am a system admin. for a small University. I have a
problem that I can't seem to resolve. We have
approximately 25 workstations with two servers. One main
server running Windows 2000 and the workstations run XP.
The problem is on two of the workstations where I have
around 20 users on each workstation the wait between
logins is unreal. After one logs off it takes about 10
minutes for another to log on. Done everything I know
and can't resolve. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As you put it, it's very hard to make an educated guess. Is your network
domain-based or workgroup (peer-to-peer) based? Any errors reported in Event
Viewer after a long logon process?

It is Domain based. There are no error message in the
event veiwer.
