Networking fails

I use wireless connection and also a cable sometimes on my laptop loaded with winxp home. The networking suddenly stops working, I will not be able to connect to the internet. The link still shows that it has a live connection, but I see only sent bytes and no received bytes

When I had this problem last month I reinstalled winxp and it worked. I am at the same point again, I do dnot want to reinstall winxp again

Please help

Well this seems to be very tricky problem. I have also got the same problem. what i use to do is that i double click on the lan connection and then it starts working again. i dont know why this thing happens.
you know one big reason i have understood behind it. When i use broad band connection this doesnt happens. it is mainly due to ISP problem not the computer. fell free to contact me on (e-mail address removed)
