Networking-Error opening files on other computers

I have three computers networked, all running Windows XP Pro SP2. In my
network places I can see all workgroup computers on all machines. I can see
the shared files on all computers from each computer. On the Desktop which
is the one with the shared internet connection, I can access files on the
other two computers. I can ping all computers from each other by name and IP
addresses. I am not running Windows firewall but I am running ZA Pro latest
version. I also run Norton System Works 2004. Here is the problem, I cannot
open files from the second and third computer on the first computer. "
\\First\Downloads is not accessable. You might not have permission to use
this Network resource. Contact the administratorof the server to find out if
you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to
process the command."
I have tried everything you can image and suggest in the last 8 hours and
still no luck. I have disabled SFS, use the more advanced, no luck then back
to SFS.
I tried everything in Chuck's post without any success.
First is the Desktop with ICS (can see and open all files on all computers)
Second is a laptop(can see all files on all computers and open files on
third but not first)
Third is a desktop(Can see all files on all computers and open files on
second but not first)
PLEAAAAAAAAAAASE, help!!!!

Hi Taxlady,

Have you tried disabling Zone Alarm and System Works to see if they're
blocking you? I know with Zone Alarm you need to create the trusted zone
for your local workgroup.

\\First\Downloads is not accessable. You might not have permission to use
this Network resource. Contact the administratorof the server to find out if
you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to
process the command.

If the previous advice does not lead to the solution, you could
use http://www.michna.com/kb/wxnet.htm to solve this problem.

Hello All,
With the help of an earlier post that Chuck had answered, it solved the
problem. Thanks Chuck, if I had read further last night I could have fixed
the problem without posting a question. The link to microsoft
http:\\support.microsoft.com/?id=177078 completely took care of the problem.
I did the registry change on the First computer only (main desktop) and it
worked like a charm.
BTW the IRPStackSize was not in my registry at all so I had to add it.
Thanks again.

Taxlady,

Thanks for the feedback. And the addendum about having to add the value.

Cheers,
Chuck
