All I am trying to do is exchange files between 2 CPU's. Both are Windows XP
sp2.
I don't want them to be on the net.
I have done the network wizard on both, enabled file sharing, rebooted and I
get a network link in the taskbar saying limited or no connectivity.

Any help would be great.

Thanks a lot.

The cable used to conect the two systems must be a crossover cable - not a
regular ethernet cable between the two NICs. Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio
Shack,or similar should have the cable.

Awesome advice Jerry. To WalMart!

When you connect 2 computers directly (no NAT router or other DHCP server), the
"limited or no connectivity" error is normal. If they are modern computers, the
error may not be definitive either.
