In my Vista home network, I get three instances of each computer in the
network.

First is the computer name, then is the "media device" - which I could live
without - but the one that is confusing is that there is a third instance of
each computer which consists of the computer name followed by "-OC". I do not
have a clue what this is, and it was not there when all the machines were on
XP.

I am annoyed that Microsoft gives no information on this.

Any assistance appreciated.

It's "One Care" if you have set printer sharing through One Care. Turn
the sharing off and set it up directly and it will go away.

Very many thanks, Tom. I knew it was something simple, and I am still
irritated that it is undocumented.
