Is there an equivalent in Excel 2003 for networkdays function?

The NETWORKDAYS() function is available in Excel2003 after you activate the
Analysis Toolpak add-in.
Tools>Add-ins, check Analysis Toolpak

If for some reason you don't want tu use ATP, look at alternatives for ATP
functions here:

The NETWORKDAYS function is part of the Analysis Tool Pak. In 2003 and
earlier, you need to go to the Tools menu, choose Add-Ins and select
that item in the list. If you don't want to use the ATP, I have an
improvement to NETWORKDAYS that doesn't use the ATP at
