whahappened...

i installed the analysis pack and yet it is still calculating one extra
weekend. I attempted with the date function (=date(year, month, day)) and
with just a normal date; however, it is still giving me 7 instead of 5! What
I am doing wrong!?

We aren't there. We can't see what you're looking at.

More specific description is likely to lead to more specific suggestions...

my two dates:
h131=1/14/2008 i131=1/22/2008
formula used: =networkdays(h131, i131)
answer given = 7
real answer should be 5 correct (subtract sat and sunday and get 5)

thanks

Which version of Access?

Where did you get the function "networkdays()"?

What happens if you enter the "raw" values instead of the ??variable names??
(remember we aren't there, can't see what you're looking at. Where is
"h131" and "i131" coming from?

Networkdays is an Excel function and it looks like you are referencing cells.
If your question is regarding an Excel issue, you need to ask your question
in an Excel group.

Unless I am missing something, this function (albeit an Excel function),
seems to be working just fine.

You are starting on *and including* the 14th, a Monday. You go to the
following Sunday (the 20th), and you've gone seven days, two of which do not
get counted because they are Saturday and Sunday, so you are left with five
days so far. Now move two more days for the 21st and the 22nd, and you get a
total of seven days.

Looks good to me.
Jeff
