I am having trouble networking a destop XP computer to a
Windows 2000 computer. The XP network wizard and network
setup disk does not work with the the 2000 computer. Any
suggestions?
.
I was having the same problem, with two pc's of mine,
both with the different OS. What I did to finally get
mine to work, was I installed it in reverse, sorta...lol
I had my wireless access point all installed on my Xp pc,
then went to the 2000 pc. and installed in reverse so to
speak, to the wireless access point. ON my xp..linksystem
wireless acess point. installed.
then went to my 2000 pc,..and installed the microsoft
wireless broadband connet. Instead of linking it to my
xp pc, I linked it to the linksys. and it took. Then
back to the Xp pc, and configured the last bit of the
main pc. (which is my XP). This I hope is NOT TOO
confusing!!! It worked for me, hopefully it will help
you.
It was a headache, since winxp and win2000 are not
compatable to each other,.. then having two different
wireless systems added on top of it.. WHEW!
