I have dial up win 2000.

I have run the worm removal tool and had to get a service
pack update that took forever... and then installed the
patch.

This computer is a network for the company and no one can
still connect to the network.

I check the cmd line and I get
TCP 0000135
UDP 0000135

What is left to do? Do I change the TCP filtering set up?

Kris

Per the board yesterday someone told me to

start run then type cmd... then a little black box comes
up I type

netstat -an | findstr 135

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

In that case the output from the command should looks something like this:
TCP 0.0.0.0:135 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
UDP 0.0.0.0:135 *:*

Anyway, can you run IPCONFIG /ALL from the command line and post the result?

here's a tip how to copy from command prompt
you mark the text you need to copy with the left mouse
button. Then just right click on the command promt window
and there you go - you got your text ready to be pasted.

so the problem is that other pipl cant acces your Win2k or
you have no access to the internet on your Win2k?
It sound like you have workgroup, right?

To what kind of a network is this computer connected? If it is connected to
a server, there is something wrong with your ipconfig/all that you got.

Marina

Im not sure I know how to answer that questions. As I
dont know much and the man that does quit yesterday.

This computer is our dial up and has our LAN connection so
that everyone at their desk can access the internet. We
have another computer that we call the File Server where
we access our job folders and such.

Hope that was what you asked.

Kris

How many computers are connected to each other and what OS are they on? Do
you have a hub to connect all the computers?
Do you have some proxysoftware to get the other computers on the internet?
