I have a PC with Win 2000, connected to a broadband
connection. I want to connect my two XP machines to it,
but they don't seem to be able to connect to the win2000
pc. The two XP pc's just recognise each other.

I'm afraid I don't have a solution but I have exactly the
same problem. The XP machine can see a third PC running
Windows 98SE but not my main W2K PC. Interestingly the
help says that if you create a Network Setup Disk using
the Network Wizard it will only work on 98SE, ME and
something else which I've forgotten but NOT W2K, and they
don't go on to tell you how to do that!!!! Must be about
1 million users want to do just that. I'll post the
answer when I find it(I never give up on a problem like
this). Let me know if you find a way.
Good Luck
Paul

This may also be worth checking out: I found this in
another thread: -
"Only use the XP Firewall on a direct connection to the
Internet:
dial-up modem, DSL, cable modem, etc.

Don't use it on a local area network connection with other
computers
through a broadband router or ICS host, because it blocks
file and
printer sharing.
