I have tried everything I have seen and can not get my Vista Laptop or my XP
Desktop to share with each other. I can see my XP Desktop in Vistas Network
and Sharing "show all"map..but can't get in to access my shared files. I have
downloaded the LinkLayer Topology thing it says XP has to have..I can see XP
on Vista but can't access..I can't even see Vista on the XP. I hate Vista !!
XP is so easy..Vista is just crap..any help would be apprieciated...

I found a solution..the windows firewall!!! Now I feel like a really
dummy..I have tried for 6 months to get this up and running..special thanks
to Robert" MVP" for is link that got me on the right path...

This is exactly the problem I've been having. Could you please tell me your
solution or where I can find it. Thanks.

The "problem" that you've been having is actually a symptom. There are several
problems that can cause the same symptom (inability to "see" other computers).
These problems have always existed; with Vista and its redesigned features, they
simply became more obvious.

Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
