Hi i
If we reset our switch, the network comes back for a while.
A beaconing Network card? Or soemthing else?
Here is our setup

DSL modem - DCHP enabled
Linksys Router DCHP enabled
80 port switch.

What could be the problem?
Thanks a lot

Dsl modem plugs to router, which plugs to switch, where the computers are
plugged into.
Thanks

Pretty much anything. Resetting the switch would lead us to believe that the
the switch is the problem, but re-setting it may be resetting the connection
on another device. Look for streaming / broadcast storm / jabber by
observing the activity lights on the switch when the network is down. If
they're going bonkers, unplug cables one at a time until you isolate the
source (they stop going bonkers). If you don't see any evidence of massive
broadcasts, I'd probably swap out the switch and see it the problem
disappears.
