No reply from the xp general news group, trying my luck posting this here.

I'm on an exchange server at work. I have XP and have windows explorer set
to synchronize a network server folder that I use. It was doing fine, until
the IT folks upgraded the server and changed the main name of the path to
the folder. I am unable to clear the old path, that's because XP expects it
to be there to undo it.

Old path: \Construction on DFGH (K)
Supplies
Personnel
History

New path: \VPConstr on DFGH (K)
Supplies
Personnel
History

I have sych'ed Construction on DFGH (K)
\Personnel

What I can't clear from the sync cue is: Construction on DFHG
Which is the main path to the rest of the folders.

How does one clear the old network path from synchronization when it's not
there anymore?

Thanks

Would the "Administrator" not be able to do this for you.
It sound like you do not have the privilages\permissions
to do this. Are you the "Admin...." of your PC?, Login as
the "Admin...." if you are and try again.

Right click on "My Computer", select "Manage"
Expand "Shared Folders">"Shares", is it there? Right
click, select "Properties". You might\can change the
name? Also "Caching"

I'm at home, and when I go to work Monday I will try your suggestion and
will get back to you letting you know the outcome. Thanks a bunch...

Have to say, no. Going to My Computer | Manage | Shared folders, it was not
listed.
