I have a client running Windows 2000 server and 5 Windows XP client workstations. The network is 10/100 utilizing a 3com switch. They utilize Office XP and Timeslips Version 2003. The data files for Timeslips reside on the server and are accessed by Timeslips ( which runs locally on the workstation ) when the program is open and run by the employees. Recently ( approximately within the last 1 - 1 and 1/2 months ) the program has started running very slow. I have consulted with Timeslips support multiple times and they have concluded that the problem is not with their product but is somehow related to the network (one of the tests we did was to copy the data down to the workstation from the server and then run the program locally on the workstation and the program ran great just the way it used to). We also ran the program just on the server itself and the performace was perfect. I have changed the cabling on the server and replaced the nic card in the server
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated
Thank you.
