Hi, I just went through this same thing, but with a
router in the middle. The main thing was to go into each
computer's Network Connections. Does the LAN icon say
connected beside it? If it does, does it also say
Firewalled? You must remove the firewall by clicking once
on the LAN icon, then click on "change the settings for
this" on the left hand side. Go to the advanced tab and
disable the firewall.


See if that works

Hi Chris, the LAN icon says ENABLED and it is not
firewalled. The second computer can see the workgroup with
itself in it.
