network setup wizard wont load

network setup wizard wont load so i cant connect to my
network or the internet. i cant even load it from the cd.
i am on a friends computer doing this and i have windows
xp home edition. please help
 
oh yeah. it also says error127 when i try to start
network connections in the services maneger

please help me

scince no one had the cudiousy to awnser me or help me, i
just went ahead and reinstalled windows and that fixed
it. oh yeah... the "VIA Technologies, Inc. multimedia
software update released on October 20 2003" does not
work so dont download it. it will screw up your VIA sound
driver and you will have to "roll back" your driver to
before the update.
