I have four PCs connected to the Internet (cable
connection DHCP) via a router. Usually, I have to do the
powercycle to get back on because after a few days, it
drops my connection, which means I have no Internet. Is
it possible for my ISP to drop my current ip address
after a few days? How is this? After the powercycle, I
get the same ip address. It hasn't changed for a while,
maybe like a month. Is it possible I'm using the same ip
address that some else already obtained?

I've seen this problem in areas that have frequent power drops or surges.
Afterwards, the router appears to be on and working properly, but isn't. If
you have a UPS (preferably with Automatic Voltage Regulator), make sure that
the router power is plugged in to the battery side and see if your
connection stays up.
