I am running Windows 2000 Server on a custom made box. I
need to make changes to the gateways settings for the
network cards. When ever I try to get to the properties
menu (Right-Click to properties) the GUI restarts and I
can't get to the settings or I get "An unexpected error
occured." I would appreciate any help in this matter. Is
there command line instructions that I can use change the
default gateway?

Please try the following get back to me if it works or not.

Run Regedt32.exe

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network
- go to edit, then save key. Save this on the hard drive for backup
purposes.
- Remove the "Config" binary value from the same registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network

- Close Regedt32
- Restart your server to test
- This should resolve the issue.

Thank you,
