How do I connect to a network projector using WinXP? I know how to set the
projector up, but I don't know what tool in XP to use to connect to it. I've
seen references to various versions of VNC, but I'm looking for a native tool
that I can use to project PowerPoint presentations on the network projector.

Thanks.

Nework projector? How is the "projector" connected to the "network"? In
other words where is the cable?

There is not a utility that I have yet found that enables direct connection between Windows XP and network projectors. It appears to be a Vista-only solution. We have to use the software provided by the vendor (NEC) in order to connect to projectors over the network.

To Bob I - Network projectors, as the name insinuates, enable connecting PCs to projectors over standard network connections. Most of the ones that I am aware of contain an embedded OS / processor in the projector that enable the processing of these video signals. My organization uses wireless to connect to our projector. In the coming months I can imagine that changing as we add the wired infrastructure in those parts of our facility. See http://www.projectorpeople.com/resources/projector-networking.asp for more info on network projectors.
