Hi
I have just set up 3 new PC's each with Windows XP Professional to replace 3
old PCs. I have loaded on Outlook 2000 on each and have set up the Microsoft
Exchange Accounts on each PC for the existing users. I have made each user
administrator of the PC. The first time I go to create a new email and click
on the 'To' button the global address list appears and I am able to send an
email. I then exit Outlook and go back into it again and I am unable to send
an email. I go to create a new email message and click on the 'To' button
and I get the following error:
'Network Problems are preventing connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server
computer'.
I am unable to send internal and external mail.
All the existing PC's are working fine. Its just the new PCs.
Any ideas?

What Service Pack on the Operating system and if SP2 have you got the
Firewall switched on, if so you might try putting the Outlook.exe as an
exception in the firewall to see if this helps.

It is SP2. I tried turning off the windows XP firewall but I still get the
same problem. I have tried logging the existing user onto a windows 2000 PC
and have no problems. I tried logging on the existing user to another
windows XP machine that another user is using and I still get the same
problem even though the user using it doesnt have any problems.

Does everything else work fine, browsing the network, printing to networked
printers, anything in the event logs on the workstations and the server,
what are you running on the backend i.e. SBS, ISA. Is it every user that you
set up on these machines or just some.
