I have a Dell Router with one Wired and one Wireless Pc hooked up to.
Both PCs are running Windows XP. I brought home a PC from work that is
running Windows 2000. I changed the group name of the PC to match my
home network.

The PC from work connects to the network, but I cannot get to the
internet, I cannot ping the other PCs, nor see them. I have tried
using dynamic IP and static Ip addresses without luck.

Is it a Windows 2000 issue? Any suggestions?

Thanks

This is a configuration issue and has nothing at all to do
with Windows itself. A good starting point would be for
you to run ipconfig /all from a Command Prompt and
post the output in your reply. You should also post the
router's IP address.

The second adapter is the one I am having a problem with. I disable
the first one and attempt to renew the address on the wireless adapter.
I get a DHCP unreachable error.

Thanks

Since you chose not to post your router's IP address
it is not possible tell you exactly what to do. I suggest
you give your wireless adapter a fixed IP address.
Make the settings similar to the ones used for the first
adapter.

Sorry. Routers IP is 192.168.2.1

I tried giving the Wireless adapter fixed settings to no avail. Maybe
a bad wireless card, although the wireless utility shows connection to
the network.?.?. But I cannot get access or ping anything.

Thanks for all your help.

Make the wireless settings like so:

IP Address: 192.168.2.250
Default Gateway: 192.168.2.1
DNS Server: 192.168.2.1

Now try pinging the router from the problem PC.
If it does not work then you need to check your
wireless lettings. You most like do not have a
working connection, perhaps because the wireless
network is not detected, because of an invalid key
or because the security settings between your wireless
card and the wireless access point do not agree with
each other.
