Hi
I can't reach my 2nd network pc. I'm getting a message
that it isn't possible
to get access because of security settings on my
computer. I disabled all secure settings I know but no
change. I'm looking for a solution for about 4 days.
Does anyone have a explanation for this behaviour?. I'm
thinking about formating my hard drive but then my
problem is solved but I realy want to know the reason.

Your gonna need to provide some information if you want
help. What operating systems on each? What user accounts
are enabled on each. Which account are you trying to
logon with? What "security settings" have you disabled?
How are you trying to access the 2nd PC? Can you ping it?

Hi!
I tried before with more detailed information and I got
no reaction. Ok then.
I'm running XP pro on both. They are linked with a
crosscable. We are in the same workgroup. I can see both
pc's on each computer. The cable is ok I maked contact
with another pc without any problem. I got the blaster on
pc1 which I removed days ago. This pc can contact without
problems the shared recources of pc 2. From pc2 to pc1 I
am getting the message that the security settings from
pc1 make contact impossible. Therefore I disabled all
security levels I found (IEEE 802.1x), I activated the
guest account. But no effect. I can ping pc2 and pc1.

So I hope this is information enough I apreciate too any
links where perhaps I can find something.
