Steven, i have the same problem and am not sure how to apply your solution.
I have 80 workstations for students. I have 200 students who each have an
individual logon. These students do not have install privlidges. I setup
the workstation with W2k pro and share the teachers printer. I can add it
to printers as administrator but when i log in with any student id, the
printer is not there. I see another poster said that one can do this with a
script. I am assuming the script runs on the local machine because a user
will have a different printer everytime they change classrooms. It would be
nice if i could change the registry to add the default printer under the
default user... Thanks, charlie
