I have a brand new Dell desktop with XP. The HP Officejet
d135xi is connected to an HP desktop. All of the network
functions are working including printing from a Windows 98
laptop with a wireless adaptor. The XP computer can
access files on the network but it will not access the
printer. I connected the printer directly to the XP and
installed the drivers and it works fine, but not over the
network. Dell can't (or won't) help me, same for HP.

.

Your "HP desktop" that your printer is connected to has
what OS on it? I have experienced problems when sharing
a printer on a network from a windows 98 system and
trying to access it with windows XP. If this is the
case, you might want to consider sharing the printer from
the windows XP machine and adding it to the windows 98
machines.

Hope this helps out.
