Network Printer lost after few days

Wxph has a network printer (on a W2kPro). This printer
will install fine, but after a few days it
becomes "unavalible". I then have to uninstall it then
reinstall it. Is ther a default timeout for a network
printer on XP? Any sugestions?

I have the same problem. I have printers shared on a W2K
comptr - XP cmptr loses it's connection dailey. Once I
reboot the XP cmptr, it works again. (All other W2K
cmptrs don't have this problem, thus XP is crap)

I did find a post pointing here.

It explains how to install a printer driver for a remote
priniter. (It's different from any way I've tried) So far,
it has fixed my problem - won't be able to tell if the fix
has "really" worked till a few days pass.

There are no network printer time-outs in Windows XP. Is this printe
an SOHO type? Is it USB hooked to another machine or a network prin
server? Does the printer in question require a "printer console" on
windows machine to function
