I started administering a windows 2000 server domain with one server.
I went to install two Windows XP pro workstations on the domain. When
I joined them to the domain and logged a domain user into the computer,
they had very limited use of the computer. I gave the users
administrative rights to the local machine.
They cannot change any display settings, turn off the computer, no use
of the run command etc. They also don't see the installed programs on
the workstation (under the all users profile). There is no policy that
I can see on the server.
I did notice that the server was installed in mixed mode (but it is the
only server on the network).
Any ideas on this?
