Network places...

My network places window "freezes" and fails to open any
links on my network. When I click on any of the icon
links in the Network window the hour glass just sit
there... when I try to close the Network places window
all of the desktop items disappear.. I have to restart
the computer to get back to my desk top.. Task manager
can't close this Network places window either.

Any suggestion or advice... please help

If your connected to a Windows 2000 or 2003 domain, it is
possible that a login restriction is causing this. Does
this happen only if you login to the network and do not
logout at the end of the day (i.e. you login on tuesday,
work all day, go home (with the computer still logged
in), and come back Wed. and use the computer without
logging out and back in)? If so, try logging out at the
end of each day and see if the problem goes away. If
this isn't the case, post again and we'll try something
else.
