Hello,
On my W2K Pro machine "warp", I am able to do a search for "warp" and I can
see it. But I am unable to see it in My Network places\Computers near me.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks !

Hello

Do they have the same *workgroup*.
Computers near me shows only computers with same workgroup.

Yes they do in my workgroup. Also, there are 4 machines running W2K pro and
they each can see each other in Computers near me except for this on in
question, "warp"

Disable any installed firewalls. Also check if netbios is enabled.

Any more suggestions would be very helpful.

The browse list is maintained by a computer called *Browse master*.
use the command *nbtstat -a <computer name>* to see if the machine
is a browse master. I have heard that in win2k-win98 network , Win98
machine should not be a browse master. See if this is the case.
