network places

is there a way to preven users on my domain from browsing
the network from the "My Network Places" icon or control
panel?
 
That is difficult to do. You can use Group Policy user configuration to hide Network
Places, etc but ultimately you will need to rely on share/ntfs permissions to keep
them out of places you do not want them. --- Steve
