Hi. Can anyone help with this problem. WMPlayer (for
XP) will not play a CD anymore. It displays an "opening
media" message, then comes back with a "network path not
found" message.

Looking at the details brings up this:
"The path to the file is not correct. Windows Media
Player cannot find the file. The server name, shared
directory name, or file name may be incorrect.

Check the file name and path for any misspellings or
discrepancies. If this error message persists, contact
the content provider for the correct location of the file
you want to play.

Error ID = 0x80070035, Remedy ID = 0x00000000

Another symptom is nothing shows up (no .wma files on my
hard disk) when I click on the Media Library feature.

Thanks for any help,
Steve

Hm. Does local playback work? Can you build new playlists? It sounds at
least like the media library has become corrupted, which
http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html#medialibrary
should help you fix.

Thanks zachd!
The media library was corrupted and your suggestion
worked like a champ.
Thanks again,
