Network Password

I have networked my laptop (Windows XP) to my desktop
(Windows 98) using a wireless connection. When on the
laptop, I can access all of the shared files located on
the desktop. However, while on the desktop, when I try
to access a shared file located on the laptop a dialog
box appears that requests a network password.

I do not believe that I set a password when I setup the
shared files on the laptop. And, more importantly, I
can't find the correct icon to locate the password so
that I can remove it.

Can anyone help me?

This PC novice thanks you in advance.

Windows XP doesn't have passwords for shared files. Something else is
causing the problem.

Run the Network Setup Wizard on the laptop to fully enable file
sharing. If that doesn't fix it, create a user account on the laptop
with the same user name and password that you use to log onto the
desktop.
