I networked two PC's at home today. The main one has XP.
The secondary has 98SE. Where do I go to set the user
password for network login? I am having difficulty
finding it. Whenever the PC with 98SE boots up, the login
screen comes up with the name and the workgroup, and the
password box. If I just click okay, it continues to
another screen saying I may not have full access to the
network since I entered no password. Everything is fine
after that, but the boxes are annoying.

Thanks

On 98SE, go to Control Panel | Network and:

1. Set the primary network logon to Windows Logon.

2. Click "Client for Microsoft Networks" | Properties and clear all of
the Windows NT domain boxes.

Then, reboot and log on without a password.
