network not working

Our WinXP and Win98 computers share a dsl connection thru
a router. I've done the networking wizard but they don't
see each other. Do I need another cable to directly
connect the computers or should they be networked
together via the router set up? This is my first time
networking and am confused.
 
The Win98 computer will only see the XP computers that
have File/print sharing enabled.

The XP Computers should see everything on your network.
