Network may be busy

I can surf the web but i cant enter secured web sites or
download anything at all.. i have XP and IE 6.0 please
help had this for months now and no one smart enough to
know the problem.. your my only hope

What kind of secure sites do you mean ? Like your Bank account ? If that is
true, what is the level of encryption on IE ? Do a HELP then ABOUT and
hopefully it will say Cipher Strength=128-bit, if it has nothing or says
56-bit, you need to go to Windows Update and download that.
As far as downloads. What happens ? Do you even get the download window
open up ? You might have downloads disabled in IE and that will stop it or
do you have a overactive Firewall that stops downloads ?
Those are my first thoughts, if they do not work, come on back and we can
try some more serious looking.

It does say Cipher 128 bit and i do get the download

window it just says its busy ..it gets ready to download
but then when it starts imediately error pops up saying
busy.. and yes secured sites like bank account or MSN
messenger..
