I reinstalled win XP prof on my computer. Everything works properly, even the internet, (cable modem), except i cant install any programs. I get an error message reading, "could not access network location <common administrative tools>all users. Anyone know what that means? PLEASE HELP!!! Otherwise i have to unistall everything and reformat hard drive.
Most likely, the setup program wants to write shortcuts under the All Users
profile (so that the program is available to all users on that computer). If
so, you need to log in locally as Administrator and re-run setup.
