Network Load Balancing

I have servers in a load balancing team but they do not
communicate properly with each other, or browse the
network properly.

All the servers have two network cards, one used for the
Primary IP address and the other for the load blance
Virtual IP Address.

They are all set up in Unicast mode because we do not own
the routers and can not be reconfigured to accept proxy
ARP.

How ever, the network cables from the card with the Load
Balance properties set up, go through it's own level 2
switch.

If I fiddle around moving the cables between different
hubs and switches I can eventually get them to work, but
as soon as the servers are rebooted, they no longer talk
to each other or browse the network properly.

Please can someone help?

Also, you may want to set up NLB without the NICs teamed and see if it
works. Teamed NICs and NLB often do not play together well.

Thanks,
Marc

The cards are not teamed as they are set up at the moment.

I have looked at all the documents suggested, but I can't
see where it's going wrong.
