Hello Everyone,
I'm hoping someone here might have some ideas that we could employ at our
site. We have a SQL based application running on top of MSDE 2000.
Throughout the day we have intermittant errors within the app that indicate
a connection loss to the server. Also when we come in to the office in the
a.m., if the app is left running they almost always show a disconnect error
from the application's database.
We've verified that the machines/NIC's aren't going into sleep/hibernation
mode and the cabling is new (that doesn't mean it is bullet proof though i
guess). Any ideas on how we can try to troubleshoot this? Ideas we've
tried are replacing the hub/switches and cables as well.
Is there any command we can run like a consistant ping with logging that
would show us when the network drops so we could try to narrow this down
more? Thanks!
