I sometimes maintain a dial-up network connection and a
cable-modem network connection at the same time (work &
internet). When I request a URL w/IE, it uses the dial-
up network interface first. The URL is usually reachable
through both network interfaces; however, I would prefer
it to try the cable-modem interface first (it's faster).
How could I configure this? Thx.

To always use the cable modem connection for Internet access:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the dial-up connection.
3. Click Properties.
4. Click Networking.
5. Click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)".
6. Click Properties.
7. Click Advanced.
8. Un-check "Use default gateway on remote network".

If the work network has more than one subnet, you'll need to create
static routes to access all of them.
